Newly-married Alicia Keys grabbed one kudo for Best Female R&B Soul Artist. She also won a songwriting nod for Record of the Year thanks to "Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)", a song off her 2009 album "The Element of Freedom".

On March 1, 2010 Keyshia cole was admitted into the hospital with labor pains.
One of Keyshia's closest friends, R&B singer Monica, confirmed the labor situation via her official Twitter page.

On 2 March 2010, Keyshia Cole gave birth to her first child, a boy, late Tuesday to a 7-pound-3-ounce baby named Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr. Daniel is the first child for the couple, who got engaged in early January.

Keyshia cites Mary J. Blige and Brandy as her biggest influences and is highly compared to the vocal sensations as a combination of the two. Cole also appeared on Chelsea Lately in 2009, and she stated that she would love to tour and record collaborations with the two.

A reported 2.9 million viewers and 2.0 million households watched the season 2 finale. It is now the #1 series telecast in BET history.

Keyshia Cole reported on BET's 106 & Park that Season 3 has been filmed since in summer 2008. It premiered on November 11, 2008.
